The Gender Inclusive Guide was created in an effort to support academic faculty, staff, and leadership at the Midwives College of Utah in developing medical terminology, syllabi, lectures, and policies and procedures that are inclusive of all people.

Anti-Racism in the Classroom

The Equity in Midwifery Education project has suggested these Syllabus Revisions (2020 Draft) to promote anti-racism and equity in the classroom.

Confronting Bias

Cognitive biases make our judgments irrational. We have evolved to use shortcuts in our thinking, which are often useful, but a cognitive bias means there’s a kind of misfiring going on causing us to lose objectivity. This website has been designed to help you identify some of the most common biases stuffing up your thinking.

Anti-Racist Resources

Here is a working document for scaffolding anti-racism resources. The goal is to facilitate growth for white folks to become allies, and eventually accomplices for anti-racist work. These resources have been ordered in an attempt to make them more accessible. We will continue to add resources.
