Programmatic accreditation.

MEAC accredits midwifery programs housed within larger institutions — universities, colleges, or other schools already accredited by a USDE-recognized agency.

Who qualifies

Is your program eligible?

Programmatic accreditation reviews a specific midwifery program, not the institution that houses it. The institution itself must already hold accreditation from another USDE-recognized agency — MEAC then evaluates whether the midwifery program meets MEAC's ten standards.

If your school is independent and exists primarily to provide midwifery education, see institutional accreditation instead.
